Value methodology and lean manufacturing are effective tools for improving organizational efficiency and customer satisfaction. While they share similar goals, their approaches differ. Value methodology focuses on identifying and eliminating non-value-adding activities, while lean manufacturing focuses on eliminating waste. Both can be integrated to optimize processes, create value, and enhance overall organizational performance.

- Identifying the essential (basic and secondary) functions of a product or process and determining the efficient & effective option to achieve those functions.
- Applying creative problem-solving techniques to redesign or improve products or processes to enhance value.
- Using Function analysis system technique (FAST) which is A structured approach to analyzing the functions of a product or process to understand the logic and relationship between its components represented by their functions.
Lean manufacturing is a philosophy that focuses on eliminating waste and maximizing value in all aspects of production. It is based on the principles of Toyota Production System (TPS) and emphasizes continuous improvement, just-in-time (JIT) production, and respect for people. In the following some of lean manufacturing key elements:
- Just-in-time (JIT): Producing goods only as needed, minimizing inventory and reducing waste.
